Preparedness

You can make a difference in how well your family and your community prepare for the many hazards that surround us each day. Personal preparedness is the key in keeping your family, and your community, safe during emergencies and disasters.

This can be achieved by maximizing awareness and encouraging participation in disaster preparednessactivities to affect change at the community level.

Our nation’s first responders do an incredible job keeping us safe, but they cannot do it along. We all must embrace our personal responsibility to be prepared and contribute to the safety and security of our communities.

For more information on how you can prepare click on the “Gear Up / Get Ready” logo.

If you are a member of an organization desiring a preparation program, please contact the Office of Emergency Management.

If you have an unlisted telephone number or want to receive notifications via your cellular telephone click on the logo above and you can enter that telephone number into the database.
