Seconds Count in an Emergency

Kane County has instituted the CodeRED® Emergency Telephone Notification System. CodeRED® is an ultra high-speed telephone communications service for emergency notifications. This system allows County officials to telephone targeted areas of a municipality or the entire County in case an emergency situation requires immediate action such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices.

CodeRED® is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number. This system allows anyone within Kane County to update their residential or business information, including cellular telephone numbers, to be included in important call notifications.

If you have an unlisted telephone number or want to receive notifications via your cellular telephone click on the logo below and you can enter that telephone number into the database.
